The 3-inch filed gun model 1902 was developed in Russia in 1901-1902. During 1906-12 guns were improved by addition of a shield. Widely used in WWI, Russian Civil War (1918-20), WWII and other conflicts. Model 1902 filed guns were in service with armed forces of Russia (later USSR), Poland, Finland, Latvia, Turkey and Germany. 4500 in total were manufactured.
